Growing Together Group

The transition from couple to parents is an exciting time in our lives. It’s a stage of anticipation and a time that brings overwhelming amounts of joy, but even the strongest relationships can find the transition challenging. Many couples struggle when baby arrives and aren’t sure how to navigate the many changes that parenthood brings to the relationship. Growing Together is a group  for couples that helps new parents feel more confident on their journey and provides tools and support as you grow together in your new roles.

Topics Include:

  • Learning About Your Partner

  • Defining Parenthood

  • Working Through Conflict

  • Planning For Growth

  • Sharing Practical Wisdom

  • Feeding & Sleep Support

  • Infant Development & Early Learning

  • Emotional Changes & Challenges

The group is broken down in several parts. The initial sessions meet in the prenatal period to prepare couples for life with baby and helps them be the best parenting team possible. The group takes a break as couples near their due date to allow space for recovery from birth and bonding as a new family. The final sessions meet during the postpartum period so couples can process their birth stories and seek support and community from other couples navigating a similar journey. Group facilitators will also use this time to help the new parents gain confidence in their parenting skills and promote family wellness and cohesion.
